This webinar will provide insights into the context and background for the Global Cooling Prize, the market failure in this sector, the circumstances under which a prize can be an effective change model, the prize process and current state, an overview of selected technologies, the testing phase of the prize, the path to future impact and key lessons learned along the way.

Speakers:

Iain Campbell is a Senior Fellow at the Rocky Mountain Institute, where he leads the Global Cooling Prize, previously he was Managing Director leading the Institute’s buildings practice. Prior to joining RMI, Iain held various positions with Johnson Controls over a 30-year career where most notably he was responsible for the Global Energy Solutions and the Global Workplace Solutions businesses.

Ankit Kalanki is a Senior Associate at the Rocky Mountain Institute, where he is the technical lead on the Global Cooling Prize. Prior to joining RMI, Ankit worked as an energy efficiency consultant with PwC India delivering client engagements on demand side management initiatives and impact assessment studies, previously he worked as an energy engineer with Nestle India.
