For 110 years, the International District Energy Association (IDEA) has served as the information and activity hub for the district energy community. Through our commitment to connecting professionals from all facets of the industry, stimulating conversation and helping to advance new technologies and ideas around the world, IDEA remains on the front lines of increasing energy efficiency and resiliency and reducing emissions to improve the global environment.
Our mission? To foster the success of its more than 2400 members from 25 countries as leaders in providing reliable, economical, efficient and environmentally sound district energy services. By helping them champion energy efficiency, resiliency and environmental quality through district heating, district cooling, cogeneration (also known as combined heat and power or CHP) and microgrids, together we are charting a course for a brighter future for communities they serve all over the world.
As announced on Wednesday, April 1, due to circumstances beyond our control, and in the primary interest of the safety of our community, IDEA has decided to postpone IDEA2020 and integrate much of the program into the Campus Energy Conference in San Francisco on February 16-19, 2021.
