Governance

Becoming a member of the UNEP Cool Coalition means joining a trusted global platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and action on sustainable cooling. Members have access to the Cool Coalition Working Groups, communications activities, as well as opportunities to participate in major international events, including UN Climate Change Conferences (COPs) and UN Environment Assembly (UNEA).

Membership in the UNEP Cool Coalition does not automatically enrol members in the Global Cooling Pledge.

Admission process

Governments and subnational authorities

National governments and subnational authorities may join directly through a streamlined application process. Applications are admitted upon submission.

Non-governmental entities

Non-governmental partners may apply for membership subject to endorsement and review. Each interested party may submit the official membership application form, complete with an official endorsement letter from a current UNEP Cool Coalition member. Applications undergo Secretariat review, including internal due diligence, prior to confirmation of membership.
