Background
This session will examine strategies to deliver cooling and comfort amid growing demand, while reducing environmental impact. Presentations will highlight policy developments from emerging economies, energy-efficient technologies such as inverter air conditioners and energy recovery ventilators that help prevent excessive cooling, and the role of Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) in advancing sustainable cooling.
A high-level panel featuring government representatives, the United for Efficiency (U4E) initiative, the International Energy Agency (IEA), and Daikin Industries will discuss practical approaches to harmonizing standards across regions and accelerating the adoption of lower climate impact solutions consistent with the Global Cooling Pledge.
