From Holistic Sustainability Goals to Practical Building Solutions

The built environment needs to decarbonise, fast. At the same time, there is an urgent need for more affordable, sustainable housing in many parts of the world. This means that we need to move from theory to action quickly, creating and renovating buildings within the carbon limits available, whilst optimising indoor comfort and health, energy performance, resilience and affordability. This session will introduce learnings from the VELUX most recent project, ‘Living Places’ which takes a multi-disciplinary approach to building modern, sustainable buildings with a very low carbon foot-print and excellent indoor environmental quality.
