The building sector represents almost 40% of energy-and process-related CO2 emissions and reducing its carbon footprint will be key to achieve the Paris Agreement ambitions. What does the 1.5°C scenario mean for the built-environment? How can architects and designers support the sector in its low-carbon efforts? What regulatory framework is needed?
