This note provides key logistical information for participants attending the Global Cooling Pledge (GCP) Assembly in Singapore.

Meeting dates

  • Recommended arrival date: 14 September 2026 (not mandatory) 

  • Meeting dates: 15–18 September 2026

  • Departure date: 19 September 2026 (if attending the dinner reception on the evening of 18 September) 

Venue information

The Assembly will take place at: 
 

PARKROYAL on Beach Road, Singapore, 7500 Beach Road, Singapore 199591 
 

The venue is centrally located in the Bugis / Kampong Glam area, with strong connectivity to Singapore’s public transport network and easy access from Changi Airport. 
 

The venue is: 

  • Centrally located for ease of access 

  • Fully accessible by public transport and taxis 

  • Equipped with interpretation facilities, plenary space, and breakout rooms

Transport: Changi Airport to Venue

Option 1: MRT (Recommended – Cost-efficient) 

Total journey time: ~45–55 minutes 
 

  1. From Changi Airport MRT Station (CG2), take the East West Line (towards Tanah Merah) 

  1. Travel 1 stop to Tanah Merah (EW4) and transfer (cross-platform transfer) 

  1. Continue on the East West Line towards Tuas Link 

  1. Alight at Bugis MRT Station (EW12 / DT14) 

  1. Exit via Bugis Junction / Victoria Street exits 

  1. Walk approximately 8–10 minutes to PARKROYAL on Beach Road 
     

Option 2: Taxi / Ride-hailing (Grab App) 

  • Duration: ~20–30 minutes (traffic dependent) 

  • Direct drop-off: PARKROYAL on Beach Road entrance (7500 Beach Road) 

  • Widely available at all terminals 24/7 

  • Note: Local currency cash (SGD) may be required for taxis that do not accept card payments. Participants are encouraged to carry a small amount of cash as a backup. 

Transport in Singapore

Singapore has a highly efficient and safe transport system: 
 

MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) 

  • Fastest and most reliable way to travel across the city 

  • Fully connected to airport, hotels, and business districts 

  • Contactless payment accepted (credit/debit cards and EZ-Link) 
     

Taxis and ride-hailing 

  • Widely available and regulated 

  • Grab app is the main ride-hailing platform 

  • Taxis can also be hailed down  

  • Short travel times due to compact city layout 

  • Local currency cash (SGD) may be required for taxis that do not accept card payments. 
     

From Changi airport (SIN) 

  • MRT: ~45–55 minutes to Bugis area 

  • Taxi/Grab: ~20–30 minutes to venue 

  • Available 24/7 at all terminals

  • Singapore is a compact city; most hotels are within 15–30 minutes of the venue. 

  • Participants are advised to use MRT or the Grab app for convenience. 

  • Weather in September is typically warm and humid (28–32°C) with occasional rain; light clothing, sunscreen and an umbrella are recommended.
